About

AI tools, judged by whether they'd survive a small business budget

Why this site exists

Most "best AI tools" content falls into one of two camps: enterprise software analysts comparing features no small business will ever use, or listicles that read like they were generated without anyone actually opening the tool. Neither is much use if you're a business owner trying to work out whether $49 a month on an AI writing tool is actually worth it.

AI SaaS Guru sits in between. We cover the categories that matter to a small business — writing, video, image, customer chat, and SEO — and we judge tools against a small business budget and a small business owner's time, not an enterprise procurement checklist.

How we test

Every comparison on this site follows the same rule: we run the same set of prompts through every tool in a category, using each tool's free tier or trial, before ranking anything. Where a tool doesn't offer a free way to test it, we say so plainly rather than guessing at output quality from marketing pages. Pricing is checked at the time of writing and re-verified before anything is published or updated.

How we make money

Some of the links on this site are affiliate links — if you sign up to a tool through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. It doesn't change which tools we recommend or how we rank them; a tool with no affiliate program at all can still top a list here if it's genuinely the best fit. Full details are in our affiliate disclosure.
